Your Guide for Things to Do in Minneapolis in January

The end of the winter holidays doesn’t have to mean an end to family fun in the Minneapolis area. Bundle up and head out to one of the great events happening in your area during the next few weeks.

January 18th is Eden Prarie’s Winter Blast , an outdoor celebration of all things in the North. This outdoor celebration offers something for the entire family, including a visit from Elsa from the hit film Frozen, as well as a puppet show at noon and 12:30.

January 19th is the International Ski Jumping Competition in nearby Bloomington. Under the stadium lights at the Bush Lake Ski Jumps, Elite athletes from Europe, Canada and all across USA will be taking to the skies in Head To Head competition. Many former and future Olympians will be there perfecting their form in the local leg of the Midwestern 5 Hills Tour – A part of the US Cup Series. Skiers will be soaring up to 300 feet for trophies and cash prizes.

Close out the month and invite a prosperous spring on January 31st at the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra’s performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at the Wooddale Church.
