Your Weekend Guide for things to Do in Minneapolis: June 28-30

Happy (almost!) Independence Day, Minneapolis!  Can you believe that June is almost over this weekend and it’ll be July on Monday?  This summer is going by so fast—blink and you might miss it!  This weekend, take some time to slow down and take advantage of everything Minneapolis has to offer.  There’s something going on for everyone here in our beautiful Twin Cities’ region.  Here are a few suggestions of where to get started.

Twin Cities Improv Festival 2019 at the Huge Theater
Minneapolis, MN

Is there anything better than a deep-belly, big laugh?  I can’t think of anything more fun.  This weekend, support local and national comedians and improv groups at the Twin Cities Improv Festival!  Featuring over 30 performances, this festival celebrates everything funny.  Single tickets start at $15 but prices vary depending on how many shows you would like to attend.  This Friday, performances include groups such as Wisenheimer, MurderClown, Juliet & Juliet, and Bingewatch.  Visit the event’s website for more information.

Bike BBQ at Cycles for Change
St. Paul, MN

One of the best ways to see the Twin Cities is from behind a set of bike handlebars.  What better way to celebrate biking than to jump on your bicycle for a good cause?  This Saturday, the seventh annual Cycles for Change Bike BBQ is ready to ride.  Participants can choose between an 8-mile ride of a 20-mile ride, bothstarting and ending at Triangle Park for a BBQ lunch.  All ages and abilities are welcome, and the $15 registration will be used to help Cycles for Change reach their fundraising goal of $15000.  For more information on this event and other opportunities, visit Cycles for Change’s website.
