Playing with Words at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts
Minneapolis, MN

This exhibition is brought by a cooperative effort between the Minnesota Center for Book Arts (MCBA) and the Loft Literary Center’s first annual Wordplay festival.  The MCBA has commissioned fourteen local and national printers to create limited edition broadsides.  They have created these broadsides by “playing” with the words of a poet that the Loft Literary Center selected.  This project melds words with visual art and is not to be missed!   For information on the participating poets and artists, as well as more information on the event itself, visit the MCBA’s website.

Sunday, June 2
Minnesota Cloudscapes at the Norseman Distillery
Minneapolis, MN

From crystal clear lakes to sprawling prairie, the great state of Minnesota has it all.  In her series Minnesota Cloudscapes, artist Heather Friedli seeks to capture one aspect of our beautiful state: the skies.  This show springs from Friedli’s effort to synthesize her love of the natural world, her experience in the wilderness, and her extensive wilderness travel.  This series is currently on tour, but it is pausing briefly at the Norseman Distillery.  Visit this website for further information.
